All the more so because teenage singer (France Gall) claimed not to be in on the joke - she says she thought she was singing a song about sucking on her favourite lollipops. Fifty years on, she is still complaining about the embarrassment she felt when she found out.

The song is in French but there is plenty of information and translations out there for non French speakers. I would embed the various videos in this post if I knew how.

I had a 12" single of FFA by the Leather Nun, I think it's on YouTube. Yes, that was my adolescent edgy and exciting although songs about, err, extreme sex acts probably still not that mainstream although one of the few songs to rhyme hesitate with prostate.
