Your FX Purchase Of The Year!

What's Hot
MajorscaleMajorscale Frets: 1563
Out of your 2017 FX purchases, what has been your best buy? Please also list the amp you are using as a guide to your base tone.

Mine is a Bearfoot Baby Pink Booster... it takes my tweed deluxe style amp (J20) and adds a sizzling solo tone that other boosts haven't quite achieved for me before. In fact I then bought a second in a fancier paint finish!

    Keeley Katana boost for me.

    Helix. So good I bought it twice... a floor for the studio and an LT to gig. Haven’t bought any pedals since and it’s been truly liberating.

    I think amp is irrelevant for verb and delay but;
    Brunetti pleximan / singleman or helix.

    My third one. I sold the other two because I found the way the Manual mode works frustrating, but this time I have decided to take a deep breath and just accept it.

    Why? Because it does almost everything I need - with the possible exception of an envelope filter - it's compact, battery-powered if I want and simple to set up, and it genuinely sounds great... mostly at least as good or in some cases better than my analogue pedals.

    What amp? - any amp, it doesn't matter as long as it will do a good chunky clean sound. That's one of the other great advantages of it.

    Soul Food might be the only pedal I've bought this year. It's good but already finding I don't really need it and i can get mostly the same effect with my LP1 clone after all haha

    Magnetic Effects White Atom Fuzz - you can dial in just the right amount of hair you need. Lovely.

    Amp is a pretty clean Yerasov GTA-15 single channel, tone and volume only, so the fuzz / overdrive brings the dirt.

    It's got to be my ThorpyFX Veteran.

    Have hardly touched the Fuzz side for months, but have the boost set to breakup nicely when attacking the strings. Sounds bliss through my Mini Tweed amp.

    Only eight pedals bought this year (alarmingly all of them since the beginning of September!), so it's a simple question . . . er, ok, well they all do slightly different flavours of fun but the BitQuest does the most, so much so that I'll be buying a second one once funds allow (I've bought six pedals since I last said that ) so it has to be the BitQuest.

    Rockett Blue Note. Amp was Blues Deluxe, now Pro Reverb, with Bogner La Grange as the 'dirt channel'. There's so many sounds & feels from changing Blue Note settings running into the LG.

    El Capistan is on the way, looking forward to that.
