I had a Morley Bad Horsie on long term loan when they first came out in the 90's. Absolutely loved it. When it went back to it's owner, I did without a wah for years.
When I wanted to buy a wah again, I just picked up a cheap Morely classic wah. Nothing like as good as I remember the bad horsie being. It was tame by comparison. Sold it on.
Eventually bought an original bad horsie a couple of years ago. Nowhere near as good as the first time around. The sweep on the thing was terrible. Went from fully on to fully off with just a fraction of movement. Took it apart, dusted out the insides, cleaned up the optical lens etc and tried some tweaks but nothing really helped.
With hindsight I should have never have given the original bad horsie I had back to it's owner!
Now I have a AMT Japanese girl wah, which I really like. Fits nicely on my pedalboard, and I have got the hang of it's small size. Great sounds and a nice sweep.
I think its something to do with me finding a really old Vox Wah in the attic (belonged to my Dad) and I think the whole excitement around that find has stuck.
Currently have a CAE on my pedalboard, an old modded Crybaby somewhere together with an old Jen Wah and unfortunately, I no longer have the old Vox mentioned above :-(
even trying to copy the slash flick of the wrist at the end,
If you want to discuss wah pedals, do it here.
If you want to trade insults, go elsewhere.
I always loved RHCP sir psycho sexy for the wah...
Before I liked his GoldTop, as a baby, I used to sit for fun at home looking at Argos and Index catalogues at their musical instruments looking at Argos gear hoping members of Guns N' Roses like Slash, Duff, Izzy etc if they could play a show with these guitars because I wanted them to use what I saw in these cheap A' catalogues.
But many years later but many years ago, when I picked up the guitar... I then got it in me what tone I like/what guitar I like and what a guitar could/should sound like, like IDK, for all I knew Slash's GoldTop was stock ... It was/is an amazing guitar.
Then years later I found out about guitars then pickups and then bridges etc...
Interesting take on a mini wah..
Infoooo
I have modded it though to bypass the buffer and it sounds great.
Sweeping with delay is my particular weakness not the waka waka waka stuff.

On a side note you might want to get some contact cleaning in the pot of your wah sounds a little scratchy so could probably do with a clean.

Trim pots are the same controls as the RMC, iirc. I have volume at unity, with Q and mids nice and high.
