Friend of mines son has decided he wants to start playing guitar so they have asked me what to buy   

i said i would ask you esteemed FB members first before he starts trawling Fleabay, i have already said he can have my spare practise amp and have spare cables, tuners plectrums etc he can have, so not much budget (£100-£120) to work with, but thought i would ask you lovelies if you have anything suitable kicking about you would like to exchance for some cash which always comes in handy at this time of year. Young lad has no preferences at all as long as it plays well enough for him to get started on his guitar journey.

Black Ibanez RC320. In good nick. Think it needs a neck tweak, I'm detecting slight fretbuzz over one or two notes since the weather went colder.  Nice cool looking offset guitar. 120. Potentially no postage depending where you are in Yorks.

I'd recommend a Vintage, maybe a V120 or a v100 lp for the slightly shorter scale, great bang for your buck with this brand and easily upgradeable should he wish to progress.

I have a Partscaster I would sell, solid alder sunburst body, decent neck, Squier tuners, the rest is probably Chinese stuff, plays really well. I'd be happy with £80 posted.

I have a fairda prp-12 (PRS style) hung up not getting used - A tiny tweak and some new strings and it'd be great for learning on.

Can't go wrong with Yamaha but personally I'd look at the Revelation range, very good pricing and value

I did advise this mate as I have the Tele and the strat and love them both. He has been round and played my Bernie Marsden and loves it so I reckon if I can find a cheap Prs he would be happy with that. 

I just wanted to ask on here before we do the ebay gumtree route, I prefer buying on here as it keeps it all a bit more in house, money spent here means someone can possibly buy on here and so the cycle continues. And I’m just doing a favour for a mate.
