The 60s tele sounds and looks really good:

I just noticed that the Logo on the 60s Tele featured in this video has the "Custom Telecaster" logo but the one on the Anderton's website just has "Telecaster"

Was the one in the vid a pre production model perhaps?

I would prefer the Custom logo as apart from the saddles it's not far off the Custom spec.

The Tele should have the Custom logo.
This is not an official response.

Why do the saddles on this promo pic look like they are intonated with line in the middle of them?? Double click on pic on website to enlarge fullscreen.

They look like they're compensated for better intonation, similar to Callaham saddles, but it's not mentioned in the specs on the Fender website.

I know absolutely nothing about types of finish on a guitar other than what it looks like, so I I’d be more than happy to own, play and gig with any of those guitars. A pro level instrument is a pro level instrument in my book. But I can’t afford them so it’s irrelevant.

The production ones are totally vintage non-compensated, odd.

Yes, I just noticed that the 60s Tele in Chris Vinnicombe's demo has straight steel saddles with no compensation. I wonder if the marketing images that Anderton's are using are pre-production?

@MattFGBI we've got our magnifying glasses out mate!

I am seriously interested in that Lake Placid Blue 60s Tele.

They do not have compensated saddle. I will investigate these images.

I'd rather listen to Chappers play than Lee, who touches the strings like the thing might bite....which doesn't make for a great demo video on that 50's Tele.
This is better. Low end still sounds a bit flubby though....

Why does everyone demo Telecasters with the same twangy 'chicken picking' style that NOONE in the real world plays?!!!!

Andertons say Poly undercoat which is going back to the old AVRI series.
Now, the nitro on the AV was junk but why couldn’t Fender just get the nitro right?

Maybe because of the bit where Lee thought that the maple neck had a separate maple cap....but it was just the wood grain on the rounded fingerboard edge....cringe worthy moment there as Pete had to correct him politely. Yep its gone, on FB there's a 5 min video of them just playing the guitars.
Oh well in meantime here's some more dreadfully recorded video and humour from the boys up north at Reidys as they unbox their shipment of these new guitars...
