Ok so I've played guitar for 30yrs now, am reasonably good.  But recently I've been invited on a "management business trip to france" to a private farmhouse  to plan strategy and drink wine.  All fine you say.... but... the owner says "Oh and don't worry we have a music room with a guitar..."

Great.  So as well as being at the top of my professional game,  and trying not to get wasted on free French wine,  i may get called upon to " play us a tune" by my drunken superiors. 

Ffs.  My default style of vai/angus young doesn't translate well to acoustic nylon.

What am i to do?  I have 3 weeks.....

Play songs, don't solo over a Blues in A and you'll be fine. Get them on the wine first.

If you play things that everyone knows and can sing along too they'll stop paying any attention to your playing unless you stop playing.
Works a treat.
If you fluff a chord or drop a note, no one will notice because they're too busy wailing along with you.

Just take a mic and amp, explain you would need a band. Make sure plenty of wine been consumed. Stick on loads of reverb a bit of echo and project some YouTube songs with lyrics. You will wake in the morning treated like a God :-)

I hate karaoke but in that context believe me it does go down great guns.

All the better if you choose to top it off with a few songs yourself :-)
