I got AC/DC and Led Zep, didn’t get Bruce Springsteen. Was there a fourth?

Ahh. I don’t really pay much attention to UC as I feel it’s just reinforcing my feelings of inadequacy but MrsTheWeary drew my attention to the guitar questions.

I haven’t watched last night’s yet. I like it when I get something low brow ( like Pokemon names) which are a complete puzzle to the people on the show. If I’m in the groove I can do really well ( from my sofa) at missing vowels. On the other hand I don’t think I’ve almost ever guessed anything right in round 2.

I knew the song immediately, but it took me a moment to work out who it was as I don't associate him with guitar solos.

Only connect is great but I’m not very good at it. Have you tried the game on the bbc website? There are loads of extra questions there.

It makes a pleasant change to hear a relatively easy question on University Challenge, although I didn't know the Springsteen one.  Quite funny watching the baffled faces of young people faced with all that dad rock.

Rockism... "white macho guitar music".
