I hope details are given to the police, just because he got it back ,doesn't meant the crime wasn't committed.

Wonder if the shoplifting clickbait will hit someone's channel soon....

My police force won't investigate shoplifting if it's under £250. Small shopkeepers are having a hell of a time.

What about repeat offenders?  I highly doubt someone does this sort of thing only once

The police aren’t interested in low value regardless of how often the same person targets your store.  They will only come out to one of mine if it’s high value or the shoplifter gets violent when challenged.  

These days you have to report most of it via a website and they’ll send you a pack to fill in the details.  If they decide it’s worth looking at you’ll see a pcso a few days later to collect the cctv.

Lee, the owner of Andertons, just happened to have a coat on (or took the time to put his coat on) before he went outside to catch a "thief" and Chappers just happened to be there to shoot a video?

From comments on Facebook it seems genuine. Rob didn't say he took the picture.

It says on the Instagram caption you posted - "here is a still from a video I just shot".  

Maybe it is genuine, I dunno.

Local cops round here say they won't attend unless it's at least £100, so maybe I should be grateful.

Wonder what statistical analysis could be applied to national figures?  Hmmm...
