It turned out okay, although I never heard the result of the discussion mentioned above by TT Tony.

The Firebird wasn't what was pictured. There are good and bad sellers on Aliexpress. I've found a good one now and bought a great 335 from them. PM me for details – the admins on here get a little jumpy about Chibsons.

The pickups on my 335 said Epiphone on the back. I changed the pups anyway, as they were ceramic nasties.
