:) Luckily I've moved on to distilled water so there is no further damage to report

  • This thread is already on page 5 and we're still talking about nuts. If this persists, it could be the biggest thread on the FB, maybe even the internet by the time we're finished with tele pickups, botched bridges, broken necks and knackered Icemans!

Mark's eBay feedback is pretty good, so his customers seem to appreciate what he does, even if I wouldn't.
That's true. Maybe it's down to his use of quality machine heads?

  • I have major issues with the crude adjustment of the bridge saddles, some of the strings on some of the guitars are now about 1-2 mm from the edge of the saddle!

If only Mr Phillips had a small milling machine and a drill press, then he could probably machine some new custom hardware to fit the existing setups. This for me would then be acceptable.

I want audio of the telecaster neck pickup and how it balances with the bridge humbucker. There have been some bold claims about this.

I fear the only tool he owns is a hammer. And his trusty one-off nut-chainsaw.

I'd interpreted it as not at all, given that on the previous page (or so) someone said that the thread was already this long and we hadn't got past the nut! Hopefully Travis can enlighten us ;)

Ha! I am sure he was on about the previous pages as well, I just thought it would be a comedy defense in his name since it was virtually the only post on page 6!

Im well known for missing things in threads - I get bored reading and then skip stuff - usually important stuff

But shame on you all  for only mentioning it once- It warrants just as much air time as the nut!!!!

    Lets not be bridgist here

    Well done chaps

So refreshing to see the restraint shown from the usual school playground mob antics of other parts of this site and allow Mr Phillips a chance to put his point of view and explain his approach to guitar modification.

We wouldn’t want to scare him off now would we by taking the piss far too much.

    Congrats all round I think.

I'm waiting for him to put a Floyd on a guitar.

    Then I'll get one.

I can't be doing with them fixed bridges.
