It’s becoming more ridiculous by the episode and I suspect the shoehorning in of anyone they can get from TNG is only going to increase. The plot holes are becoming bigger by the scene too and the whole thing is starting to feel like a late ‘original cast’ film.

I'd like a spin off where Shaw is Captain of the Titan, personally.  I think he's great.

He all along has only been looking out for his crew and isn't cowed by the legends...

Well Ep 6 is quite the ride isn’t it. 

Old ships, old faces, more easter eggs than a giant Tescos and Shaw still steals the scenes. Bravo that man
