There must be a collective noun for multiple same guitars..

    A weight of Les pauls
    A twang of teles
    A filling of PRSs

    etc..
Given the prices, I think that should be a dental implant of PRSs.
Having trouble posting images here?  This might help.

  • I have 3 DC semis: a Gibson ES-335, a Yamaha SA-2200 which was obviously inspired by the 335 although its neck has a different profile and the tone quality is very different, and a Tokai ES-60 which is clearly in the family likeness of a 335 but a lot cheaper. All are nice guitars in their own right, and the heritage of the latter two is obvious.

I also have 3 DC solids: a Gibson SG Special, a Yamaha SG2000, and a cheap Chinese plank whose Grandad might have been an SG. There is less of a family resemblance between these.

I confess to having had 5 Jazzmasters in the house until last weekend.

One is my heavily modded TVL
One is my metallic flesh pink custom thing
One was a 1970 birth year special, now moved on, not without a little tristesse
The other two are lefties that I've acquired over time for my southpaw daughter

So I'm down to 2 of my own, and 2 of hers.

    You need a jazzmaster :-p
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

Currently, 5 Teles.  In my defence, they all have different numbers/combinations of pickups.  This is the pic of them all from the recent Tele appreciation thread...

  • Two Teles, one 52ri and one Paisley. Upgraded the wiring and pickups on the Paisley using Oil City Honky Tonk Angel / Wapping Wharf. So much better than stock.
Two strats, well one actual Strat, a Squier I’ve had since ‘89. The other is a Musicman Albert Lee that addresses some of the Strat quirks that annoy me.

    A divorce of Strats...

4 actual Fenders plus a few other S-types. All very different - but of course they all sound like a Strat when played...
