Well @Whitecat is winning, what a lovely looking guitar
True, I love mine but I’d swap it for @Whitecat ‘s in a heartbeat
Really? I think yours is one of the nicest I've seen. I'm not a lover of cherry finish usually but that one has just the right amount of blush. Beautiful looking guitar.
Coming next: R8 Swap Shop with Noel Edmonds
I'll raise you deal or no deal, and put my as yet unseen top in box 15 ;)

Found my switch tip - in 8 pieces tucked under the pink lining of the case near the bottom. :(

Oh boo! How the hell did that happen?

I assume a replacement will find it's way to you

I wonder if they attached it during setup to make it easier to check over and forgot to remove it and put back in the pocket - there is a reason they tend to take these off when shipping... the True Historic plastics are especially fragile, apparently.

Have contacted Peach and I'm sure they'll make it right!

Indeed, but the guitar just feels incomplete without it! :)

In the grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter, but it would have been nice if they included a strap and truss rod tool in the case.

(the other new Gibson I bought a few weeks ago were supplied with them)
Interesting - I thought Gibson had stopped supplying truss rod tools years ago...
actually yes, you're right, it was the second hand Schecter I bought a couple of weeks ago that had one in the case, the BFG did come with a strap though.

And speaking of which, as has been mentioned earlier, the difference between the pickup rings, neck angle etc on the R8 and BFG is huge (along with loads of other stuff obviously as they are no more than distant cousins really!)

They gave a Gibson-branded Cruztools multitool with my ES330. Actually quite a useful gizmo. Like the below (which I alreday had) but with a truss rod adjuster built in as well.

I’m very glad I remember to take it out of the case going through Heathrow so I could avoid almost getting arrested from sneaking weapons onto planes. Again....)

I do really like it but the poor wee thing was taken to my office this morning and has been relegated to hanging on the wall there until I decide if I am selling it or not

Big difference innit?  Takes a bit of getting used to

I don't think pickup adjustability was high on the list of priorities in that them there days
