That's a shame, but not surprising, they haven't quite found their mojo for a few years now.

Having said that, the Danish Collection Mudhoney is THE best high-gain pedal I've ever used - I searched high and low for one that suits me and this is it - know it's just a RAT adaption, but it just suits me. Hence I've just ordered another from Thomann for £85, I paid over £200 for mine - this can sit in a box as a spare!

Have you tried the other Mudhoneys - how does it compare? I have a II which is quite bright sounding, and a TC Electronic re-badged I which is a bit warmer and has a slightly different gain range.

I’m SO tempted to get a Danish one now...
Never tried a 2, but the Danish is worth the 200 I paid for it, and a total bargain at current price.
I’ve ordered one. Hope the T-Rex folks all find new jobs in the industry.

Not boutique enough to be boutique and not cheap enough to compete. Not really doing anything that interesting and the tape unit had issues. Suggest people stockpile the cartridges!

Sad news. I use an original Mudhoney  (with the dinosaur logo) daily on my board.  Had it since new probably 15 yrs.

Sad news. I wonder if this will affect IK Multimedia. They sell licenced copies of some T-Rex pedals in Amplitube. I have the Mudhoney which is excellent. The company may live on in digital form.

I have one of the first gen. Moellers and it’s bloody brilliant. Always amazes me why it doesn’t get more recognition.

    Shame.
Agreed - probabaly the best tone I heard was a Strat, Möller and DSL100. Crying shame, but they went from boutique to mainstream too quickly IMO. Lost their USP.

Look like they built up too much debt the company couldn't service. I wonder if the receivers can sell the IP to the pedals?

I did already panic buy a couple spare tapes for my Replicator but that is good news nonetheless. Also ordered a Danish Mudhoney, have fancied one since they came out...just not at £220 but at £85 it's a no brainer.

  • Danish Mudhoneys for myself and Estheroid arriving tomorrow!

I’m quite tempted to get an Alberta too actually. I had one ages ago and it was my first posh pedal.
