Hair clippers with no guard on every few days - - - haven’t clean shaved regularly for years.

I do need a wet razor every day though to shave the bits you don’t want stubble on - too high on the cheeks is bad.

Women love the look and feel of manly, brutish stubble.
    I think.

I use an Edwin Jagger DE89 razor with Astra blades.

    A proper razor.

Closer than a disposable or a fusion wotsit, And the blades cost pennies.
    ^ this

if you are going to shave, get a proper razor and save a ton on blades!

Are they substantially more face slicey?
Not after the first couple of goes.

Then you learn to let the weight of the razor do the work.

  • Wilkinson DE razor for me, every 3 days. Don't particularly enjoy having to to do it but can't grow good stubble around cheeks and jaw only denser at the chin and moustache areas. I just use Bulldog's shaving cream, gives a nice smooth shave.

    £24 for 100 a good price?

If you're looking for other blades that very sharp (maybe not as sharp as a Feather but almost there), Gillette 7 O'Clock Sharp Edge (yellow) or Super Platinum (black) are less than half the price.

DE's are great but since I got a cut throat I've never used mine, way more satisfying.

Many thanks! Had a pack of 5 feathers when I first started with the safety razors, only now realised how bloody good they are compared to the Derby blades I bought 100 of.

Easiest and very decent shave is a Gillette Fusion 3 and King of Shaves oil not foam or soap
Don't use shit disposable razors ......they're only good for women underarms and pet trimming

Seriously, if speed is important use a straight razor. You can shave your whole face with about 3 strokes.

  • Not had to shave since 2011. Facial hair stopped growing after a cancerous boy bit got removed. Prior to that I shaved daily. Don’t miss it.

There’s probably an alternative forum where people obsess about shaving gear and talk about brexit and shit :)

There are quite a few forums dedicated to shaving gear.  Of the ones I frequent they avoid political discussions so there are no Brexit discussions!

Feather are the sharpest blades out there, Derby are the least sharp of any blade, there are many others in between if you've not tried them! I'd recommend a sample pack like this one, some of blades aren't as sharp as a Feather but very sharp nonetheless and much smoother. Btw, I've bought from the sellers I put links for, they are both great.

Is there really a forum dedicated to shaving? I’ve led a sheltered life... B)

Same here. Any other blades will rip your face to ribbons.

Watch out for fake Feather blades. Yes, they are a thing, because I've had them.
