Misuse of 'literally' grinds my gears in any context. Example: Facebook meme - 'Have you ever felt your heart literally melt?' No, if that happened I'd be dead in seconds.
Saw a guy on tv yesterday saying “I’m literally speechless!”

"Good wood era" - What a load of pony.  Any time someone mentions an "era" they're just talking a load of crap most of the time.

The collective rather than personal pronoun does wind me up. I’ve also found since being here a while I am a bit perturbed by ‘she’ and ‘butter’ references.

However, I’m amazed at the general annoyance at items that are ‘bumped’ or might suggest ‘offers’. Surely we are all open to offers so spelling it out is no bad thing? Equally, just because folks aren’t buying doesn’t mean a guitar is overpriced -it may just reflect the currently slow buying market. Anyone who has been here a while has seen the ridiculously low priced guitars that folks  haven’t had the cash for that month; perpetuate that situation a few dozen times over and you’ve a regularly bumped item. We should also remember, our going rate on here is less than the rest of the market because we want to keep guitars in the community and for some bizarre reason we all still want a deal...

Just saw a guitar I quite fancied on Ebay but it's classed as "New".  If you read the blurb, it's clearly not new.  You could argue that if the detailed description reveals the guitar isn't new the seller isn't really being very dishonest, but it still puts me off dealing with him.

Another pet peeve is people who describe a guitar as "the best I've ever played and it absolutely wouldn't be going anywhere if I didn't desperately need the cash" and then when it doesn't sell within a week or two shamelessly start specifying acceptable trades.  How stupid do they think people are?

'First to see will buy' - no I won't, fuck off.

It just ruins your chance of selling it.

    'No time wasters'

Especially on items that have been sold long time ago but lazy fuckers leave the ad running for weeks and when I contact them they say 'sorry bud, sold long time ago'. Or don't reply at all. Maybe by time wasters they mean people who waste their own time???
