Personally would never buy a Gretsch, Martin, Taylor or Epiphone. Have played a few stunning Martins and Epi’s but could never part with folding for one just because.

Any one else like this?

I have to admit to some pretty stupid and baseless prejudices when it comes to guitars. I do try very hard to judge each one I’m lucky enough to play only through my hands and ears though.

No if it’s good it’s good. The only negative I have are Washburn’s as my mates Status style bass started to fold up under hot stage lights and I had a Mercury with a neck that used to move.

I don't understand the question.  I have a Martin and an Epiphone on my guitar wall, along with 3 Gibsons and a pair of Seagulls.

A lot of people possibly have a bias against brands like Squier and Epiphone due to them existing as budget copies of other brands.

But Gretsch, Martin and Taylor are beyond doubt 3 of the top brands in the history of guitar so what's the reason behind disliking those blanketly?

I sort of get it but having tried a few Taylor's and one absolutely stunning Martin I'm over that for sure.

I'm a bit like that with Gibson.

Never owned one, and never really played one to any great degree but I am a Fender fan and there are so many Fender's out there I'd like that I'd rather spend money on those.

It is a financial restraint thing with me rather than out and out prejudice.

How do you stop the seagulls from shitting on your guitars?
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

If I loved it and I was in the market for a guitar the name on a headstock wouldn't stop me from buying it - it might stop me from trying it in the first place of course ;)
