Gear4music ok?

What's Hot
Just looking at ordering some stuff from Gear4music but I have never used them before. A few horror stories have got me wary of using someone I have no experience with. Has anyone and feedback on using Gear4music before?

I've just bought some PA and mic stuff.  Seem fine.  Quick, efficient.

I bought a mic the other week, and a Gator soft case a few months back, next day delivery both times despite late-in-the-day orders and all was fine...

I bought a few things from them when I was starting a home studio, absolutely no issues.

Yeah, I use them for bits and bobs - no drama so far.
I'm always looking for interesting USA Hamers for sale.

At the moment I'm looking for:
    * Hamer Watson, SS2, Vintage S, T62.
    * Music Man Luke 1, Luke II

    Please drop me a message.

  • If you can make it to York, the showroom is a thing of beauty.

I’m another regular buyer and they have always been fine.  Including one time I returned a desk, they were helpful and efficient.   Usually my first place to check when I’m shopping.

They are efficent for studio bits and pieces but don't tend to know that much about guitars

Fine for branded stuff.  Be a bit careful of their own brand cheapies.

I just said this in another thread, but some friends of mine bought their son a Gear4Music own brand kids guitar, and the bridge was in the wrong place.  You couldn't get it to intonate properly.

We spent £3k in there on gear for my church a few years ago, and they were fine but it was all decent stuff like Roland and Shure.

Never had any issues with them. As mentioned above, their own-brand items are, erm, appropriate to their price point. But otherwise, in terms of service, delivery and wotnot they're no bother, if it's in stock.

I've never had any horror stories.

Except thinking I might have died when I first went in to the showroom as it's like a sort of gigantic featureless white void with instruments in every direction.

This has been my experience with them also.  My first purchase from them was their own brand active floor monitor which was - 'disappointing'.  That put me off for a while but I've used them a fair bit since with no problems.  I was very close to buying off them earlier today (a digital piano) but Rimmers beat them with a special offer.
