New SE models including the Mira and Starla.

But it's the Hollowbody II that I've got my eye on

The SE range seems to get ever more upmarket.  I don't know how high the prices are now, but they used to be great-value but obviously cheaper-looking guitars.  It may only be skin-deep, but these new models look damn near as good as the US ones.

That said, I think it's a bit of a shame that the Mira and Starla have been "demoted" to SE-only.  The original Mira was so close to being a really great design.... but maybe it was never popular enough to stay in the core range.

    Completely agree.

But the S2 range was a nice middle ground between core and SE.
I imagine the Hollowbody II will be blurring the lines in price between the SE and S2 ranges.

The S2 range is almost starting to look a bit redundant, apart from the more plain-looking satin finish models, which are clearly unlike anything in the core or SE ranges.

If you take the Custom 24 models, the new burl-top SEs look as good as the S2s and they're not at all far behind in specs either.

I'm really hoping it'll come in somewhere around the £800 mark like the other ones, but I reckon they might price the Hollowbody Stabdard around that then charge a premium for the pretty one.

    Centre mahogany block too.

If PRS had their way they would probably like to dedicate more S2 capacity to bolt-on production. Wonder if that’s actually what they are planning...

I’ve always fancied a Starla, but I suspect a used S2 will be cheaper than a new Se.

The full-fat stoptail Starla was great and I was always surprised they made so few of them. Bit of a shame they haven't keep the original short scale, but it might still be a winner.

I reckon the S2 Starla and Mira will take a hit on the used market now.  The quality was already pretty close between the S2/SE ranges.  I've had both and they were both very good guitars.

That mira is sweet. Oh and bound headstock on the hollowbody looks weird IMO.

I'd be interested on the Mira if they got rid of the bird inlays.

Same here, really wish they would do a stripped back SE guitar in plain finishes and dot inlays. More like the original SE Santana/Soapbar II they used to have. Mind you those go for pretty cheap 2nd hand now so possibly redundant.

Awesome, I can see one of those Miras on my horizon!

*edit* scratch that, Wide/Thin neck might put me off!

Am I seeing things or is that HB a little larger than the usual body size?

Some of the new ones look great. That said, if the price is getting pretty close to a grand, then there's always second hand S2 models for the same price.
