Should be good for PRS Mira Core guitar prices. If an SE is 700+ and doesn't have the pattern neck or moons.

Bridge looks good though, it looks great with an adjustable tail piece.

Annoying that there's no price information!
Chicago Music Exchange has them up for preorder in the US. You can bet that whatever they are in $ they will list at in £ here.

I have a feeling they are reworking the S2 line considerably now.

    I want a Starla with a trem!

But that Hollowbody II is incredible.

  • They look great. Especially the hollowbodies and the Mira. Locking tuners are a plus.

I was REALLY hoping for a silver sky se though!! They're bound to come at some point.
I’ll be seeing John Mayer on Monday at the O2. I’ll suggest it to him when he inevitably invites me backstage for a Jam with him ;-)

Presumably the locking tuners are the same as those currently used (only) on the S2s.  Which probably come from Korea anyway.

Hollowbody II ships with a hardcase.

    Hate that!

Some people seem to see it as a plus but it's not a free gift from the company, it's included in the price so anyone who already has one or has no need for one has to pay extra for something they don't want.

Hollowbody looks very similar to the Ibanez AWD72 - not a bad thing - I love mine.

  • Not a big fan of the burst they chose on the hollowbody II (i think it would look much nicer with a McCarty style burst, like the hollow custom 22)... Looks a bit cheap.

Still very interesting though, would love to try one as I imagine the quality is great. I wonder how it compares to the more expensive Ibanez offerings, because at that price point the Ibanez JSM 10 is hard to beat.

  • Didn't see the standard hollowbody in tobacco burst... Now that is sexy AF.

Have to agree, best of the bunch for me with the Mira not far behind.

I think with a Hollowbody such as this, it's probably FAR safer to ship in a hardcase. For that shape and with it being a little more delicate, I would prefer a hardcase.

Is it more delicate than all the acoustics that come without a hard case?

No but it's a nice addition to an already fine instrument. Remember people moaning about prs not providing a hard case with silver sky or the new CE's. You just can't please everyone these days...
