Parcelfarce & NGD ruined....

So found a nice Gretsch



Waited for the supposed Saturday delivery that didn't come. Then the Monday delivery that didn't come. Then today it arrived. And somehow they've done this.



There's a crack in the top (solid spruce on this one) and the paint is lifting.

I despair. Every time they deliver me a guitar it's bust. Last time it was a Guild CE100 from the 70s, this time a mint Gretsch Country Club.

Now here I go with seller/ebay negotiations.

Assuming this guitar came from the USA, the seller's contract will be with the US carrier and may well be covered for loss and/or damage.

I don't know which is worse… Parce Farce or the baboons at airports. The last Gretsch I saw with body damage like this had come via Heathrow, in a hard case - and the bridge had been pressed down so hard the soundpost had been pushed out through the back of the guitar.

The hard case hasn't got a mark on it. But it looks like the top of the case flexed enough to push the bigsby down. Can't see how it will be repaired....

Open a dispute and force a refund via Paypal if he won't play ball. No excuse for that sort of attitude.

Indeed - I was feeling helpful...I've given him one last chance to be civil.

I should know better than to buy guitars on ebay. He took over a week to ship the thing.
