Finished Control over the weekend. Good enough, not spectacular. I liked the "flipping tables and throwing them at bad guys" bits. I liked the overall weird fiction-ness of the plot, but the end was, like... "eh?" And the boss battles were weird and mostly annoying.

I've just finished Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes on the GameCube, and it is hands down the best game I've ever played. So memorable from start to end. I have the sequels lined up after I've finished Eternal Darkness, which is also amazing.

@beed84 you’re in for a treat with MGS3: Snake Eater then, that one’s still not been topped imo.

Yeah, my mate keeps banging on about how nothing will prepare me for it. I seriously can’t wait.

Has anyone on here got a Water cooled gaming computer?
Is it a novelty or does it make a real difference over fans?

There's no practical difference beyond lower noise. Yes, with an ultra high-end water cooler you can overclock a little more, but it's not the drastic change you'd expect.

Then...there's the reliability issue. Air cooling is vastly more reliable than water cooling, mostly because of leaks and pump failures (which are much more common than fan failures). I've had a couple of water-cooled rigs fail - one closed-loop, one custom - and it's expensive.

Spend the money on decent Noctua coolers and fans, and you'll be much better off.

I've always thought mixing water and electricity is asking for trouble.

Yay - I haven’t played Rez in ages!

I've somehow never played Rez so this is excellent. And sounds like there is more to come. Hopefully things I haven't already played :)

Thumper is worth a look for anyone with the PSVR kit too.

I have that on Oculus, some of the later levels are quick.

Have you played Polybius? The speed on that one gets me, I have to take the headset off after a while as it feels like I haven’t blinked in ages and my eyes are streaming.

Immortals Fenyx Rising. Really enjoying it, better than the reviews in my opinion. I can't access the first DLC though and according to t'internet I am not alone.

One of my favourite games of the past few years, I really enjoyed the story and Alan Wake tie in, I'm looking forward to the next game Remedy release set in the same universe.

I played Kentucky Route Zero this week, not really a game as much as an interactive story I guess but good nonetheless.

I see the final DLC for Doom Eternal is out, and it looks like they've completely jumped the shark.

Not more bloody platforming sections... :D

I see what you did there, and I agree they were annoying, but mostly just the story has turned into some bizarre high fantasy nonsense.

Doom 2016 remains the high point of the series for me, less annoying platforming and better bosses too, none of the bosses in Doom Eternal were as entertaining to fight as pretty much any of the bosses in Doom 2016

Agreed n Doom 2016 - pretty much a perfect game imo. I couldn't get into Eternal at all.
