Wait, how do you play that without saving?!
Saving isn't completely gone but you only save when you sleep.  To add to the complication, sleeping in anything other than a clean bed that's under cover increases the chance of getting various illnesses.  Basically, saving means getting back to a settlement which, without fast travel and the level of random encounters there are, isn't exactly simple.  Definitely encourages you to build plenty of settlements though.

I finished last night's session by running from 3 mirelurks to get back to Sanctuary in one piece.

Wow, that sounds intense. Given that I’ve still not finished it in normal mode since it was released, I suspect it might be a while till I can try that

  • Crash bandicoot with the 9 year old today. It's still great.

Also downloaded bloodstained ritual of the night. Looking forward to that!

There seems to be a bit of a lull in gaming releases right now. Oddworld: Soulstorm is out tomorrow so I'm looking forward to that, but anyone played anything new and good recently?

The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

  • Bloodstained ritual of the night is half off, as is the crash bandicoot n-sane trilogy. Both are bloody brilliant!

Bloodstained is superb, sorry to repeat myself.

I've ordered Outriders, curious to see how it is.

It really is, I'm only 10 percent through the map but it's so fun and addictive. I bet I've missed loads too.

I play it in the hope that it’ll get better with updates! Seriously though, I enjoy it despite its flaws.

@cruxiform - I haven't touched it for a couple of months (PS4 Pro btw), has there been any worthwhile updates since then?

There was one last week, 40gb. To be honest, I’ve not noticed an awful lot of change, but it had already improved massively when I moved from XB1 to the Series X. I hated it on the XB1.

There is a rumour that CDPR are going to just cut their losses with it and move on - so don't expect a massive fix or improvement for it.

Wow. That’s a pretty huge deal if they do that.

I returned mine after seeing all the bugs etc. My intention is still to buy it once it’s sorted and available as an upgraded Series X version though.

I find it hard to believe they will do that. Stranger things have happened though.

Is anyone using a good HOTAS for gaming?

I've got a basic Thrustmaster T-Flight X but there's not many buttons and I've run out!
    Any recommendations from anyone?
