Not sure if you have just stubbed your toe, or like what you see :) Either way, you are most welcome (as is anyone in the area) to have a shot when it's finished....

When you described the family photo I thought "uh-oh", but it looks fantastic. Great design.

Cheers. You're right, photo's can look a bit naff, but being a silhouette made things a little classier, i think.

That's one of the best concepts and execution of headstock inlay I've seen, brilliant.
Big Brook fan here, I'd really like to see/hear that guitar when it's completed.

Lovely headstock inlay - Jack's handiwork I suspect?

Thanks for your kind words. There was very little to be done to the original photo other than a bit of rotation. All credit to Brook for selecting the materials and cutting out the inlay.
You are most welcome to try it out too - whereabouts are you?

You can say that again (but you don't have too) =) . I just saw the first pics of my nylon strung Cary lefty build on Friday.

Watch this space (or another one not too far away). Fantastic representation of the photo on the headstock inlay BTW

This photo thing is odd to me. But this is far from being about me. The guitar looks lovely.

I get the whole photo-into-inlay being a bit odd, but I was after making this guitar very personal. In my previous Brook there is an inlay of the beach on Skye where my Dad's ashes where scattered. This one is different - it''s a celebration of my wife and I being married for 10 years, and I wanted something to represent that. I went through *many* photo's, and tried to design a few things, but this photo seemed to need nothing bar a slight rotation to work well.
What better way to celebrate than my family joined by hand?

Only a couple of months till I collect!
