If you're going to line the walls don't use ordinary lining paper. I'll never use it again. Try some Erfurt Wallrock fibreliner, Screwfix sell it. Its twice the width of ordinary lining paper so less joins and it's best put on with adhesive which is like thick paste. It's more expensive than ordinary paper £20 a roll but there's 20 metres and it covers all sorts of imperfections. Plenty of adhesive on the joins and then gently rub them down with very fine sandpaper when dry. You can hardly tell the walls have been papered.

Funnily enough I was looking at exactly that product earlier on!

Anyone up for a sweepstake as to how long this job will take to complete start?
    I think it’ll start by page 10.

However, the scope is incredibly wide, so it could run for a while once started.

Which brand of paint to get.
    Which colour (Hyundai Green, obvs)
How to apply paint to wall most effectively
How to remove paint from parts that weren’t supposed to be painted
How to remove paint from a dog
Does anyone else get these symptoms from paint fumes
How long does it take to get a GP appointment these days
I think this paint is faulty, what should I do
It’s started to peel, now what
I quite like the 2-tone effect, half done, half not, job done?
I saw a boat this morning, part submerged.

Having trouble posting images here?  This might help.
