New here, thought I would share my latest build

What's Hot
Hi all, new member to the site but have been looking through posts for a while and decided it was time I joined. Was made redundant back in May last year and with the redundancy decided to build a workshop in my back garden. After doing lots of jobs around the house that I hadn't gotten around to whilst working I decided to do some guitar builds. If I can get pics posted I will show the progress of my latest build...

    Imgur should work.

One of the jobs I had to do around the house was the master bedroom, having not touched it since moving in 15 years ago. We had an old early 1900s oak wardrobe that just wasn't big enough for the wife and I anymore, so did some built in wardrobes and the oak wardrobe was dismantled

I'm liking the clam-shell construction on that hollow body

Google is not a good choice for photographs. It also tells everybody that the picture was taken in the workshop in your garden. For your personal security I’ve removed the photo links.

Thanks, doing it all by hand, only power tool has been a jigsaw for the cutting out, very hard going with oak... especially carving out with chisels. Constantly having to sharpen them.

After matching up the grain as best as possible the gluing of the top took place

Once the glue had dried it was sanded back flat.
