    Cheers @Rabs - I don't recall having seen it done elsewhere, so must either be dragging something up from my subconscious, or it's my own creativity!

    Thanks @paulnb57 - I'll get some proper finished shots done in a day or two.  Looks better with strings etc all on.  Also looks better with the pickup fixed in place properly, although I'm not 100% happy with that.

    Completely agree @SteveRobinson ;
    ;)

    its very clever... i do wonder how the red will age differently on the print to the wood.  Might be worth keeping it out of the sun

    That looks really good. Very clever! Love to see a longer shot, to see it more in the context of the whole guitar, rather than in close up. I bet it’s barely noticeable in a long shot..!
     so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

    Did you ever consider one of those ‘all in one’ pickups, that does single, p99 and humbucker, all in one, supposedly..? Sorry, I don’t know what they’re actually called..

    SD P-Rails @usedtobe?

    Answer - no - didn't think of one of those (but I do have them installed in another build).

    I was originally intending to use a dogear P90, but it was too tall to fit under the strings comfortably.  I didn't have a soapbar to hand, but I did have this @Alegree ; HB in a P90 size unit, so  I used that as an interim.  But I'm not 100% sold on that, so it's still in there just as an interim.

    I might recess the dogear cover into the body and fit that.  Or I might  find another soapbar to use instead.

    Thanks @hoops - but  Graham did all the hard work on this one, I just splashed some colour on it, and screwed a few bits on
    ;)

    It's a great playing guitar though.  Everything that a LPJr should be, without the price tag that decent LPJrs come with nowadays.

    Tony, have you kept a copy of the image so that you can recreate the scratch plate is the print fades?
