Wordle?

Wordle and Nerdle have been part of my morning routine for a while now.

But only when I'm sat here with the laptop in the morning.  If I'm away, then there's a stats break (hence the current streak is only 48).

At least it's not just me who is irritated with Intro - I spent ages trying to come up with a viable alternative. 

@the_jaffa I think that the guitar related word would be banjo. As I use audio for my starting word, I didn't have that as an option.

Prior to intro, I'd tried outro.  

That was annoying.

I've a feeling we've had 'outro' previously.  Before the intro, which can't be right.

I'm liking 'Strands' (one of the other NYT games) at the moment.

@TTony - I can definitely sympathise with the extra level of irritation with that one.

How many more Wordles are there left? Will they recycle or end it?

There's around 12,000 words in the Wordle 5-letter word dictionary.

Of which, 1,000-ish have been used so far.

I read that there were only around 2,000 words on the Wordle list. There are of course many thousands more five-letter words in the English language, but many of them would be considered inappropriate, too obscure, adopted foreign words, etc.

According to this site, you may well be right!

12,972 5-letter words in the English language, but only 2,309 believed to be potential Wordle solutions.
