    Are they the "Fred Kelly Doodah" brand with what looks like a hand extending a middle finger?

    I would be curious to see what they are like, but that's all it would be - idle curiosity with no pressing need.  I would probably be inclined to allow others the chance of nabbing them if it's something they are really interested in, maybe having tried and liked similar picks before.

    I'd have 'em but I've already got some.

    Theyre great picks and I love them for banjo AND guitar :)

    On the basis that I’ve just been lent a banjo to have a go on, could I put myself forward for consideration?

    @MSedg ;
    you could,  but I will ask @Mellish ; one question -  are metal thumb/finger picks more desirable for banjy ?

    @bertie ; subjective mate but me - no, I wouldn't use a metal thumbpick on a banjo.

    Hope this helps :)

    If I may elaborate for @MSedg there, what most bluegrass/clawhammer banjoists use is a non-metal thumbpick.

    They drop it into boiling water, softening it to allow them to twist the tip so they can get a fuller hit, not just on the 5th (drone string but any except the 1st.

    Thats bluegrass, of course, cos clawhammer is thumb stays home on the 5th string.

    But I've started to ramble, so plastic thumbpick. Metal fingerpicks? You can, but the sound tends to be a bit raspy. Plastic there too for me

    Put me in the queue for these also! Recently bought a Resonator guitar that these would work well on.

    @Neilybob do you reckon you’re a medium or large? I suspect I’ll be a large, but happy to send on whichever size doesn’t fit?

    @MSedg just a tip for you. If you ever come over here to Oz, there are certain pubs where it would be unwise to ask that question.

    Certainly, as chat up lines go, I've heard others with a higher chance of success :)

    Probably better to drop the whole banjo into boiling water.....  =)

    ^ Actually, there is no need to do that if you want to tighten up that skin-thing on the front of it. They have little screw thingies you can adjust. If you are not sure how, just ask a drummer for help. If you are too embarrassed to ask a drummer for help, just pretend to be a bass player.
