just because you do, doesn't mean you should.
Just wanted to say that the demos I have seen of the THR 10X have really impressed me, including the solitary/token clean sound. I am tempted.
This may be because I play loud and clean at home through a Tweed combo so those bases might be covered already.
I went for the standard THR10 because I preferred its colour and there was one going for a good price on ebay.
On bertie's recommendation I too purchased a C. Great little amp - it's just the wrong colour. It should be green and the X should be black. I bought a C as I preferred a classic boutique sound [less gain].
Andertons have a series of videos that explain the tonal differences and have some clips.
Remember, it's easier to criticise than create!
If you are I could bring the THR10 and you could have a proper go this time.
I'm not locked in here with you, you are locked in here with me.
I don't know for sure - provenance is slightly lacking on this guitar - but it looks like Korina, which would also explain the weight. However, Nathan being Nathan M&S, it wouldn't be just *any* Korina!
Yes, that looks like the best YT comparison (thanks dd for posting the vid too). I'm just going to have to keep watching that over & over and trying to ignore the annoying twonk from Andertons who keeps butting in.
I am leaning towards the 10C. Because it's black, obviously.

For a home amp offers a close enough and great sounding version of clean, crunchy, high gain and silly gain sounds to cover everything I need to practise.
