So at the moment I'm playing along with the computer rather than through it.
thats the beauty of using it with the laptop, its the other way around...............both "you" and the backing come through the THR,  and really does sound OK

  • I just got hold of a used thr10. Had a go yesterday and already loving it, it's so great for playing at home especially with your MP3 player/phone linked up to jam along to. Got that app too, which is pretty handy, it can slow down the tempo and change the pitch too. Haven't got the Cubase yet as guy forgot to package it but is gonna send it hopefully, doesn't have the USB lead anyway so hope to find a replacement somewhere but tbh even if that doesn't work out I think it's worth it just for the amp itself. I agree with Bertie, it's better than the vt30 which I really liked when I had one.

me too you bu**ers  ;) just got it today.  Been gassing for a couple of weeks now ........  Anyhow I'm well pleased.  Haven't quite got the hang of it yet but the clean sounds are incredibly lush.  Unbelievable considering the size of the speakers.  as someone else said the mrs likes it too.  It seems plently loud enough in my study and the sound doesn't drown the tele out :)

Talked the missus into getting me one for my birthday at the,end of the month.Got a Vox mini 3 for playing in the living room but the Yami sounds in a different league.Been watching a few reviews on YouTube and the recommendations on this thread have convinced me it's the way to go.

Day 2 and loving it.  Surprised that even the acoustic setting sounds brilliant with my electro acoustic. :)

Could you let me know the outcome of the swap please? I would be replacing a Mini3 if I got the Yammy but am struggling to justify the extra outlay. Need some encouragement!

Is it a 'kettle lead' or '2-pin figure-8' variant that goes from the mains wall socket to the THR10 PSU ?
