You know what's the biggest revelation for me here?  Proof that guitar stands actually did exist in the early 70s!

Bolan was a huge influence on me when I started learning guitar.  The day I figured out the main riff to Get It On, a whole new world opened up.  But the sounds he got on songs like Monolith or Jewel seemed completely out of reach and other-worldly to me.  It's his totally off-kilter, instinctive approach that makes those records so magical.

I found one of those stands at my Mum's a few weeks ago. I wonder if the vintage hounds will pay £££ for it?

I’ve got one I bought from Maccari’s many years ago. Ex window display. It’s pretty crap!
