    No doubt I'll get in trouble with the genre purists but I'd check out the Emperor of Sand album by Mastodon along with A Dawn To Fear by Cult of Luna.

    Also, I don't know if it qualifies at all but if you haven't heard White Pony by Deftones then you should.

    Saw Tesseract on the Devin Townsend bill and could not believe my ears at the sound....dreadful!

    Could not make out a single note from the guitar,not a single bloody note for bass and drums volume, and it was the same for DT's band. They might as well stayed at home TBH

    I'm not a fan either but they seem to be doing well in those circles, for whatever reason.
