If It helps I find it's better to play songs you already know on guitar. I always seem to learn new songs for these things and then run out of time to learn it properly and end up putting loads of pressure on myself.

Mr Soul is a gimme as I play it in my band and really enjoy it, plus its a great song, I like to learn new songs though rather than suggest our playlist otherwise it's just another session but with different players. 

I'll keep thinking......

Always good to have a reason to learn new tunes and 25th May is a while away yet.

I'd like to come if I can make it, but can't be certain as it's a long trek from Exmouth. I might be able to stay with one of my daughters, who live in the area.

So when it comes to paying, put me down to chip in a share of the payment, on the off chance I can make it.

I won't propose a definite role on a song, but hopefully I can play on one or two if you do multiple run throughs. Otherwise I'll be a supportive watcher if that's OK.

Any thoughts on the drumming? Are there any other people attending who can drum?
I can only learn four new songs max on drums, as I’ve got other things on over next few months, and I don’t know any of the currently proposed songs.

Sort of why I fancied just doing a 'Hear My Train' type long sprawling jam in E or a 'Who Knows' in D or similar sort of thing that anyone can play on without necessarily having to learn anything.
