    One sock.

Failing that, if you're going for corporate gigs in the land that ethics, human rights and morality forgot (most of them, to be fair, but some more than others) then I would say you probably need a range of shots, some of which are fairly straight "blues/rock'n'roll suit" style (80s Clapton but with modern cuts) and a few that are a little more edgy rock band without looking like you'll get carted off to the nearest police station before the end of the set.

In my last cover band we had a loose theme of black casual shirts (not shiny material ones!), long sleeve with the arms rolled up and black jeans. Looks smart enough but not too much. I guess it depends how corporate you want to go but I don't think I'd wear a suit on stage.

I've done loads of corporate stuff. Especially awards shows. Basically it's the same songs but different clothes and an extra grand ...

I've got one good suit and that thing has done about 800 gigs since I got married in it :)

He looks an utter tool anyway, but.... Ted Nugent has pens in his top pocket.  That's not the bloke who did Double Live Gonzo.

Nah I don't buy that. I'm not suggesting the Sex Pistols or Kiss...

But something more akin to McCartney's band is a good vibe

Waistcoats can look posh without going for the whole suit.  You can hide IEM cables under them, and they don’t restrict your arms like a jacket.

Yeah that's the sort of thing I'm thinking, at least for me. I actually hate playing with long sleeves, so my ideal is a shirt with the sleeves rolled up anyway. I also want each band member to be a little different, so it's not a uniform of everyone dressing in identical clobber

I may have a pinterest for this shit already... Mostly full of pics of latter-day Keith Richards, The Killers and Jack White :) The key seems to be - as ever - excellent tailoring :D

Troy van Leeuwen springs to mind, he’s usually dressed in a suit but still shows some edge & grit with it while looking (mostly) respectable.
