Well-dressed guitarists? Corporate/cover band planning...

My lot are shooting a promo video in a couple of months, so trying to work out everyone's wearing. Vibe is "rock & soul" and the intention is expensive, professional but still trying to look a little bit rock & roll because the punters will probably be in black tie if we get the gigs we want...

I start this thread mostly to request ideas beyond "black shirt & jeans". So please give me your thoughts! 


But I also wanted to note that when I googled "Best dressed guitarist" who popped up on the top row of google but our own @P90fool from a previous thread ? And I couldn't possibly argue

In which case you're probably going to need properly fitted and consistent kit that blends your professional with a bit of r'n'r.  Black suits, but relaxed, with plain t-shirts underneath.  All same brand / supplier and with equal miles on the clock (rather than "oh, I've got a black jacket already").  Don't forget the footwear either (same principle - consistent quality/wear miles).

And something low cut for the boys.

Hire it if you don't see value in owning it, but - from what I've seen - the band is good and it could be a sensible investment in long-term stagewear.
