The trouble is at this point the uniform of corporate / wedding bands has become almost as rote as the setlists. Let's face it - you're going to end up wearing black waistcoats (or jackets), black ties, white shirts, jeans and black boots.

JoBo plays in a suit  ok.

Yes, but he looks like an accountant, not a rock'n'roll star!

Nope. We ain't playing Sex on Fire either.

I'm absolutely determined not to play all the same old shit as every other band for the last 30 years. We'll do Brightside and maybe Livin on a Prayer but none of the other "classics" if I can help it.  This is helped by the fact that we're based out of Dubai, so there's a chunky middle-aged "western" audience, but there's also tonnes of Indians, Filipinos, Americans, Africans, etc etc so I want to get in a good bit of the major international stuff that a wider range will respond to.

Plenty of Motown, a fair bit of classic & modern pop, and some slinkier rock-ish stuff - Prince, Bowie, Kravitz, Blondie, Police, etc

That's because he's a dweeb with bad sunglasses. He wears a suit well but he needs better sunglasses. I may have expressed this before but I'm not wrong.

I know what you mean - his suits look fine and they're clearly good quality of tailoring etc, it's just that he's not really a guy blessed with good looks or cool looks and his choice of glasses make him look even older than he already does. To think he and John Mayer are the same age?! Perhaps his paper round was harder than Mayer's

Exactly. They're only 6 months apart but JB just wears nice clothes, while JM will happily wear stupid fashion bollocks but he OWNS it. Also better hair.

Bt srsly Joe, if you're reading Wayfarers will change your life...

In fairness I've had some regrettably well publicised issues finding glasses which fit my big head,  he looks like got a similarly large bonce so perhaps that's the problem. I've only ever found one pair of wayfarers which fit my big fat face, but unfortunately that company ceased trading/manufacture and that particular frame was the last one available and it would have been £400 plus lenses - though I'm sure JoBo could stretch to that (pun intended)

They may well not. But they'd look great on JB!  :D

I have a massive head. I'm all in on ray bans. The "Ease" version (4340 fit better than the standard but the overall frame is the same shape). I may be buried in mine.

...what you've just described is the very epitome of the corporate / wedding band setlist Sticky!

you can't move on the wedding party circuit in the UK without encountering a bearded hipster with a tele playing Signed Sealed Delivered, Higher and Higher and I Feel Good !
You want Blondie - yeah - we do One Way Or Another or Maria.. ? Prince would be Kiss right? Bowie - well .. you'll get Rebel Rebel...
