It's all just got a bit too big for its boots and says something when the best song on the night was the winner from 50 years ago.
My wife and I thought UK was quite a good pop song on radio (and better performed than on the night) but the performance was what ? And stopped him singing well. Clearly the European public have similar thoughts as we were the only country with zero votes
There were a lot of sobgs however that followed the formulaic fast beat for 70% of the time, then slowed down single voice , followed by energetic finish.
I quite liked Austria, thought that might have done a bit better
They need to get rid of all that crap and get back to an 'actual' song competition.
Your life will improve when you realise it’s better to be alone than chase people who do not really care about you. Saying YES to happiness means learning to say NO to things and people that stress you out.

To this day I regret not putting a large bet on Lordi when everyone was laughing about them beforehand.

I actually like Cyprus best.
Poor Olly- career smashed
*An Official Foo-Approved guitarist since Sept 2023.
For me, France deserved to win - a proper stripped down vocal performance. Pleasantly surprised that witchy Ireland did so well. Didn't like Portugal's song, but would love to hear her sing in a small fado venue.
Olly suffered because the Swiss act was his act but turned up to 11 in every area, from song-writing to performance.
They are a bit different from the old "Where's Wally?" ones - instead of identifying the one Hamas guy in a crowd, you just drop a 2000lb JDAM on them, killing them all and probably getting the Hamas guy at the same time.
I'm fine with it being silly and overblown and camp in places and only somewhat about the songs, but the UK choreography was a bit much, and the Slovenia singer was basically just wearing a net curtain with light-up undies.
For me, Finland and Spain were funny enough that they got away with it.
