Sloe Gin - Joe Bonamassa (Originally performed by Tim Curry believe it or not?)

Do you know what, my whole life i have heard of this or that which Tim Curry has done and every single time he has shot up in my estimation. The Man is just amazing. I never knew he did this so thanks for posting that.
I just played it on you tube and it's amazing.

This thread is already a great source of rediscovery and new inspiration. Keep it coming guys.
Wow, I never knew Tim Curry originally sang that...wow

  • I'd just like to point out that there is no such thing as "absolute undeniable masterpiece".

    One man's meat, etc. etc.

  • "Never Meant" by American Football.

Musically it's gorgeous and sounds like a dreamy love song but then you follow the lyric to the end and the last line is like a punch to the gut -

    So lets just pretend
    Everything and
    Anything between you and me
    Was never meant

The first song which I personally had a 'holy crap this is a masterpiece' moment was Here Comes the Sun.

    Absolute undeniable masterpieces?
One Note Samba (Antonio Carlos Jobim)
    Take Five (Dave Brubeck)

However, for me.....emotional communication tops every other consideration. So near the top would be Bob Dylan's Make You Feel My Love (especially a more recent version) which can bring me to tears, in seconds, anywhere (even at the Dentist).
