Arlen Roth - Hotlicks promotional thing, upstairs at a pub in Covent Garden, 1984?
Man - Torrington, various gigs but there was one that stands out in about 1993 when they just flew.
Kings X - Astoria 1990?
Slayer and Nuclear Assault Hammy O 88. Slater were still dark, heavy and powerful back then. Nuclear Assault were a revelation.
Nuclear Assault, Candlemass and Dark Angel Hammy O 89. NA were not quite as good as the previous times but then they were having to follow Dark Angel.
Sepultura Marquee 90. Last gasp of the Beneath The Remains tour. Shame they never managed to recapture the power they had at this time. Seen them maybe 10 times since but never anything like as fierce as this.
Monster Magnet Underworld 93. No stoner rock back could come close to this. Not even kyuss. Sadly MM changed and and became a shadow of their former glories for a long time. They are much better now than they were during the powertrip days at least.
16 Horsepower various times Borderline, Water Rats, Garage, LA2 etc. Each time I saw them they had a different line up but each time it was incredible.
Corrosion Of Conformity. 92 town and country club. Blew the frankly dull and half arsed Soundgarden away. 95 garage warm up for Donnington.
The Heads and Oneida Underworld. Total psychadelic spacerock annihilation.
Priest and Scorpions Hammy O. Scorpions destroyed Priest.
Earthless Borderline. Like a cross between Santana at Woodstock and Monster Magnet in 93.
Candlemass and Trouble Stockholm. Reunion show for Trouble and all filmed for dvd releases.
I'm in the audience here, this gig. Didn't even know there was footage of it until the other day.
The Ramones, at The Rainbow.
