Anyone else had as fun a day as me?

Well today has been brilliant!! Woke up to a dogs shit apocalypse in the whole downstairs carpeted area. Honestly I have never seen anything like it, why the dog the dog had to walk and poop all around the house is beyond me!! Several hours of hand cleaning followed by a full carpet clean with the (new for this task) vax cleaner. And finally the house smells ok. Anyway if your day was better or worse than this, please feel free to post! Just ranting

Only once every three months.  The big wash as I like to call it.

Now briefly watching BBC.  Typical banging on about women's day and how hard women have it in Afghanistan.

I elect the BBC staff and all the women banging on about it to go and sort it out then.  Rather than a group of professionally trained male teenagers and early twenty somethings, whose skills could be put to better use elsewhere whilst hanging on to their bodyparts, minds and lives..

Been there. We had a shitty old carpet and our dog was as good as gold - no mess at all.

We bought a very expensive new carpet and within a fortnight he had shat, pissed and vommitted on it...

We changed it for laminate and rugs in the end.

Ours are restricted to the floor-tiled parts of the house, and that's bad enough if one of them has an "event".  I don't even like to think what it's like with carpets ...

Well our cat does regurgitate his food on a fairly regular basis, but that is nothing compared to what you are describing. Maybe you shouldn't be feeded them vindaloo?

$12.05 cents a hour.  Minimum wage in South Dakota USA where they can't find anyone to fill the minimum wage jobs, so the Turkey factory uses refugee labour from Burma. Although it sounds suspiciously like a scam the bent governor in a place in Virginia was running, granting Chinese citizens green cards for backhanders or  labour.

Paloma Faith says people moan about who they get in government but they don't even vote.

Well I do missy and I'm still pissed off about who gets in.

For the first week or so after we brought Coco (our new Akita) home, she had explosive diarrhoea every night in her crate. Wouldn't be so bad, but she managed to cover herself as well as the walls and surrounding floor. She then compounded the problem by being really happy to see us when we came down, so we got covered too.

Trust me when I say it's easier to clean shit-covered carpet than it is to clean a bouncy Akita while trying not to throw up.

I've spent all day cleaning our stinky carpets as the house used to be rented before we bought it. 40 quid well spent!

I had a dog shitpocalypse a couple years back with my mum's old retriever.

Had to get rid of the carpets it was so bad.
