I think as a world we are becoming over sensitive. The balance between tolerance and sensitivity us currently up shit creek.

The world used to be not a very tolerant place, racism/sexism, etc was rife. People had to be thinker skinned. As we became more tolerant of those that are different, they quite rightly became more sensitive. Unfortunately the balance has gone the other way.

You can't compliment a member of the opposite sex any more without being accused of being sexist, you be critical about religion without being called racist. We all have to walk on eggshells.

At least in Australia you can make jokes about them all being criminals, and they make jokes about us never washing and liking buggery and we laugh with each other.
