    A couple of more favs.

    Eric Johnson at 3:25

And this sublime Jeff Beck solo at 2:25 - no one else can play with this much intricacy and delicate dynamics.

Two from Ron Jarzombek, unbelievably underrated prog/shred genius.

5:20 - an utterly sublime, melodic solo that builds and builds and builds some more:

And a balls-out shredfest at 2:53... that opening lick is just killer.

Speaking of which - John Petrucci at his finest, in the early to mid-90s... this is one of his best solos ever. 5:15:

It's worth it just for 6:12 to the end.

And what about 3:25 here... I don't know how "real" it is but it's fucking incredible. Glitchy, dissonant, trippy and robotic. Killer.

I love this, it is simply otherworldly - even Guthrie looks surprised at the end.
    He's such an amazing player.

Your Good Thing Is About To End on the last Robert Cray album too. Doesn't do anything except have a great sound and is just a perfect little coda.

Yup. Perfect. Mr Cray's licks are always straightforward, unfussy, tasteful, and utterly utterly effective. Good call.
I play guitar because I enjoy it rather than because I’m any good at it

Outro from "Tonight" by the late great Randy Rhoads.

Just wish it didn't fade out when it does.....

In response to the other post,

This solo at 4 minutes in on The Walker Brothers No Regrets is damn special

@jonnyburgo everything about that is special. Why don't I have a shelf full of Scott Walker releases? :o3
