Is there a way to change my username, or if not, to delete my account and start again?

Just make sure you update your signature with "the one who used to be called lincolnblue" just to avoid confusion with us that recognise your user name.

Or, alternatively, use the site more and then you won't forget your username

TBH, that's not really the sort of reason that we'd classify as "good reason".  As MQ says, changing a u/n will create confusion so it's something that we only do in exceptional circumstances.

Going back to your original comment about deleting your account and starting again - we don't delete content, and creating a second ID would be an instant perma-ban, so you really don't want to do that!

You can sign in with your registered email address instead of your username, I just did!

I don't think I've ever known that. @lincolnblue is a good user name, not one of these with loads of underscores and random numbers.
