I'm losing interest.  But a lot of great shows do take time to bed in and for the presenters to develop on screen rapport.  I'm quite surprised how close to the old show it is in format.  But it would be tough - if they change too much, then its not Top Gear any more.  Just as well I turned down the gig then...

Made it to 13 minutes before switching over, his delivery is just awful, he's still I'm wacky radio presenter gameshow host mode.

I'm quite enjoying it, the new stars in a rally car is so much better than the previous one,

Not enough pace - the 'interview' section was drawn out and painfully dull.  I like the idea of stars in rally cars, and visually looks pretty decent.

Feels a bit like watching a covers / tribute band.

The camera work and video editing is very similar, if unchanged, and that super slow motion shot with the tinnitus ring is still there.

The sound mix in the studio is quite poor, sounds quite echoey.

Think they should have changed it a bit 'cos Shouty Evans & Mumbling LeBlanc are quite irritating

Why did they have to get the audience to roar their approval at everything?

The whole thing had the air of those Top Of The Pops albums you could get in Woolies in the 70s. It may say T Rex and Slade on the cover but once you listened to it you knew you'd been done.

The soundtrack wasn't bad. But one song that they didn't play kept running through my head, rather appropriately:

Missed the first half hour but the bits I saw were not that bad. I think what is mostly missing is the chemistry and friendship between the presenters.

But I think as time goes by they will probably switch them around until they find something that really works. Ant and Dec maybe I dont think we will be stuck with evans and mlb for years on end.

Well.  I'm glad they didn't go for a revolutionary change but there could have been some evolution.   Evens was very shouty and with just him and LaBlanc in the studio it lacked a significant dynamic.  

I can't imaging Clarkson et al are quaking in their shoes.

The format hasn't really changed at all, but it's more boring because Evans is so determined not to slip into Clarkson-isms that his voiceover simply isn't funny or interesting.

Matt LeBlanc sounds like he's on autopilot, but I never really watched much of Friends or anything else he's been in - maybe that droney bored tone is the way he normally speaks.

Having that utter fucking bellend Gordon Ramsay as a guest didn't help.

Chill lads. It's only a few people arseing about in cars. Some bits were good. Other bits were forced but they'll find their feet. Give Chris Harris some proper airtime and it'll develop in its own way.
