Which low gain overdrive? Any recommendations?

Wampler Euphoria in "Open" mode is great for edge-of-breakup, with very little coloration. I didn't really care for either of the other two modes, but IMO it's a pedal worth having for "Open" alone.

I'm currently using the left side of my Visual Sound VS-XO for this kind of sound. It's not quite as transparent as the Euphoria - I hear a bit of a low-mid push - but it's very flexible, responds really well to guitar volume changes and pick dynamics, and seems to suit my rig a bit better than the Wampler.

Way Huge Saucy Box. Absolutely great boost/low gain od. One of my favourites. Want to try the HC version.
