as a former sales guy I know you have to push sometimes questionable product to be successful. 
I was very unsuccessful.

Not neccisarilly. I think andertons are genuinely trying to set themselves up as the first stop on YouTube for gear demos. Which has brand awareness benefits even if they don't sell much of this particular head. The shop I used to work in had dedicated social media positions and was always trying (and failing)  to 'go viral' with nowhere near the success andertons have.

Based on this chat - I broke a habit and watched a video with Chappers in it.

That amp is awful! Although credit to them, the brown module + Chappers has successfully reproduced the sound of my Hondo plywood Les Paul copy with the Arion Metal Master pedal through the 5 watt practice amp my mum got me from her Grattons Catalogue,  

They've reproduced the sounds of my youth!

A Fender 65 Twin Reverb

A Marshall Silver Jubilee Head and Matching 4x12

With still around £200 left over to spend on whatever you want.......

I'm baffled by this amplifier I really am.

Anyhoo,  with no prompting from me but just an ipad and a vague interest in guitar stuff my 16 year old son has discovered Chappers et Al so I'd agree with the stuff about first stop.

Chappers is the downstairs thing he does on his ipad (along with djent stuff on YouTube)  what he looks up in the privacy of his own bedroom I'd rather not think about!

To be honest I am sick of the sight of chappers plugging everything and anything in YouTube videos. Lee is amicable and plays with taste and panache , chappers is like watching someone dive-bomb into a swimming pool and it gets old quick.......real quick.

That was exactly my thought, although mine was a Hondo Plywood LP into a no name fuzz pedal from a car boot sale

That is a truly awful demo, I mean bloody hell I can get a better recorded tone plug ing into my phone and running Amplitude then they managed there!

Why does it make you angry?
Telecasters with Bigsbys exist, I'm not happy about it but as long as it's in the privacy of their own home etc.
