Simply squirt some contact cleaner inside the hole and work a jack plug in and out a few times.

Contact cleaner. Something like Deoxit.

yeah I saved £120 now lol....but are you telling me that the contact cleaner spray I linked won't do the same job ?

I don't know; I use Deoxit. Which definitely will do the job.

Any contact cleaner will do tbh
be liberal with the stuff it's ok
they generally come with a wee straw to get those hard to each places

Don't just shove it straight to the bottom and squirt
run it up and down the socket in a swift in and out motion until it runs out the end

Then get some contact cleaner and fix your speaker

Cheers guys hopefully its just that simple - a bit of contact cleaner to do the trick. Be delighted if that's all it is.
