Behringer tuner. It had one job and it was useless at it.

  • The full size bog-standard Morley Classic isn't much better. Probably ok for Vai type stuff but massively dull, not wacka-wacka capability and the size of a small house. Separate footswitch made it a PIA live too.

Good for elmuating the synth-horn bit I the Ghostbusters song, though iirc. That's the only thing I remember using it on live.

Ah yes, I had one of those too. It was just totally unusable for classic rock sounds, the 'vocal' effect was completely different. It didn't so much go 'wah-wah' as 'ee-oo-ee-oo'.

I don't like any Morley pedals - it's not the sound of them, it's the physical travel of the pedal... the extreme angle of the toe-down end makes me feel like I'm trying to stand on tiptoe. I equally don't like the too-steep heel-down angle of the Ernie Ball volume pedal either. The Cry Baby is perfect on both counts.

I don't know if this counts as a 'pedal', but I'd have to mention the AdrenaLinn too - I loved the concept of it, and I've heard some people get good sounds out of them, but for me it was just a complete pain in the backside to programme and almost impossible to use in a standard guitar-amp live rig. It might have worked better in a direct-to-PA set-up, possibly. I had the original one which I didn't get on with really, and then foolishly bought the 'improved' Mk3 version recently, which was if anything even worse.

I should probably qualify that my playing in general is also totally unusable for classic rock sounds.

Mine was an orange plastic Kay basic fuzz into a Little Giant solid state practice amp using a Hondo 2 strat copy.Actually put me off Fuzz for years and im still ambivalent about them.No warm nostalgia for any of it.

Might I offer the EHX worm?

I had one of them. It was ok, but not spectacular. True to EHX-of-old it was a ridiculously big box, and needed its own PSU too. I liked the vibrato setting though
Interestingly on seeing this morning's necro-bump this was the pedal that sprang immediately to mind. My thoughts have obviously soured in the last 8 years. I wanted one because Guitarist said it was good. I'd have been better off with a TR-2 :D
