Will have to try Bukowski, liked Meat Market when we went.

Current fav is Honest Burger, limited menu but done very well.

Seriously, they're no better than Wetherspoons with that guys mug and name above the door-it's all out of a tin and/or deep fried frozen food.

Anywhere that advertises itself as an Italian restaurant that gets its tomato base from a tin is not worthy of the name.

Friday evening, The Trent Bridge Inn (right by the cricket ground), a Wetherspoons with a very good interior. £13.50 got me a 14oz Aberdeen angus steak chips peas, half a tom and a grilled mushroom. AND a free pint and I don't mean John Smiths or Doom Bar. There were 10 or so real ales on handpump of which there were two Oakhams, Inferno and MkVII.  

Excellent value and service. Puts an £8 burger in context.

I dropped by my local outlet on Thursday eve for a quick post-flight, pre-train meal, and the guy apologised for recognising me, but not remembering my name.


Which is possibly not a good thing ...
